Taxis in Cricklade— Licensed Local Taxis & Private Hire

A historic Thames-side market town — the first town on the Thames, with a famous wildflower meadow and a proud Saxon heritage.

Cricklade is a small market town in north Wiltshire, situated in the SN6 postcode area on the upper River Thames between Swindon and Cirencester. The town holds the distinction of being the first town on the Thames — the river is barely a stream here, rising just a few miles to the north on the Cotswold escarpment — and has a history stretching back to the Saxon period, when it was a fortified burh established by Alfred the Great. Cricklade is best known today for North Meadow, a National Nature Reserve that contains the largest population of snake's head fritillaries in Britain, which bloom in spectacular purple and white drifts each spring.
