Taxis in Ely— Licensed Local Taxis & Private Hire
Racecourse history and hillfort archaeology — taxis for Ely and Caerau.
Ely grew around the old Ely Racecourse, whose course on the common carried the Welsh Grand National until 1939, and beside Caerau's great Iron Age hillfort — among the largest in Wales, dug again in the 2010s by Cardiff University's archaeologists. The estate's streets climb the slopes above the Ely river, with the Taff Trail on its eastern edge. Joe Maxi Taxis connects Ely passengers with licensed local drivers for the city, the hospitals, and the airports — fixed fares, no surge pricing, 24/7. For larger groups, our trusted partner network can help with minibus hire in Ely.
