About Withernsea
- Withernsea Lighthouse, built in 1894, is one of the most unusual lighthouses in England — it stands in the middle of the town, surrounded by houses, having been built before the town expanded around it. The lighthouse is now a museum dedicated to Kay Kendall, the actress born in Withernsea in 1927, who starred in Genevieve and became one of the most celebrated British film stars of the 1950s.
