Local knowledge — Golf Taxi in Whitby
Whitby is the Yorkshire coast's most atmospheric town, built around a natural harbour where the River Esk meets the North Sea. The ruined Whitby Abbey — Bram Stoker's inspiration for Dracula — watches over the famous 199 Abbey Steps, while the town's fishermen's cottages, jet jewellery shops, and fish-and-chip tradition give it a character found nowhere else in England. Whitby is the northern gateway to the North York Moors National Park and the terminus of the heritage North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Joe Maxi Taxis connects Whitby passengers with licensed local drivers for station transfers, Moors journeys, airport runs, and coastal travel.
