Local knowledge — Private Hire in Scarborough
Scarborough was England's first seaside resort — spa visitors have been coming to its mineral waters since the 1660s — and it remains Yorkshire's favourite coast town. Split between the arcaded South Bay and the working North Bay by the great headland of Scarborough Castle, the town offers two beaches, the Victorian Scarborough Spa complex, Peasholm Park, and a lively harbour of fresh seafood. The Stephen Joseph Theatre, founded by Alan Ayckbourn, premieres new plays each year. Joe Maxi Taxis connects Scarborough passengers with licensed local drivers for station transfers, airport runs, hotel pickups, and journeys along the Yorkshire coast and Moors.
