About Odd Down
- Odd Down is one of the southern suburbs of Bath that developed in the twentieth century as the city expanded beyond its Georgian core. The area's position on the plateau above the Avon Valley gives it a different character from the valley-bottom suburbs, with more open views and a slightly cooler climate. Bath's UNESCO World Heritage status, which covers the entire city and its Georgian architecture, means that development in the surrounding area is subject to careful planning controls to protect the setting and character of the historic city. The Odd Down Park & Ride is one of several facilities that help to manage traffic in Bath, which is one of the most visited cities in England.
