About Ceres
- The Ceres Games, held annually on the village green on the last Saturday in June, are said to be the oldest free Highland Games in the world, dating back to 1314 when the men of Ceres returned from the Battle of Bannockburn. The games include traditional events such as wrestling, hammer throwing, and tossing the caber, as well as pipe bands and Highland dancing.
