About Port Seton
- Seton Collegiate Church, which stands on the edge of Port Seton, is one of the finest examples of late medieval ecclesiastical architecture in Scotland. The church was founded in the fourteenth century by the Seton family and was a place of worship for Mary Queen of Scots, who visited on several occasions. The church is managed by Historic Environment Scotland and is open to visitors.

The harbour is also used by pleasure craft and is a popular destination for sea anglers. Fresh fish and seafood are available directly from the boats on certain days.
- The Seton family, who gave their name to the area, were one of the most powerful noble families in medieval Scotland and played a significant role in the Wars of Scottish Independence. Sir Christopher Seton, who married a sister of Robert the Bruce, was captured by the English and executed in 1306, becoming one of the martyrs of the independence struggle.
